Initially formed as a partnership in 1981, Mil-Ver Metal Co Ltd was incorporated in 1982, quickly establishing itself as a reliable supplier of consistently high quality alloys to the domestic automotive component suppliers. One of the co-founders Steve Miles, is still Managing Director under whose vision and leadership the company has evolved into a leading supplier to major automotive and industrial customers in Europe, Scandinavia, North America and the Far East.
As a wholly-owned subsidiary of AMC (Amalgamated Metal Corporation Plc) since February 2000, the company has undertaken a comprehensive programme of capital investment, in the latest rotary furnace melting technology linked with an EMP Metal Pump and state of the art casting and environmental control installations, placing it at the forefront of the European Aluminium Recycling industry. Mil-Ver now finds itself one of the largest remaining UK smelters with a capacity in excess of 27000 tonnes per annum and is continuing to invest in manufacturing and processing equipment improvements.
